Once Ascended moved the
crowd during their set during 3in1 Fest 2010 at Sunset
Hill |
Welcome to 3in1 Fest.
What was once Prayz Dayz and Joyful
Noise has become 3in1 Fest.
3 events ~ 1 jam packed day of entertainment.
Joyful Noise
~ Rock the Hill
~ (tbd) Showcase
August 2
Hey! What happened to August 1. 3in1 Fest
was a great day. What an awesome mix of bands and the weather
held off making it a great day all round. If you attended,
please share your
thoughts with me so we can make 2011 even better.
Thanks to the folks who braved what looked like threatening
skies and hung out for the day. Thanks to the vendors and
display booths who shared their day - especially Pratt's Ice
Cream who save our bacon - or burgers - when we found ourselves
without a food vendor at 9:30am. They did a great job.

We will continue to keep news updated here. (tbd) is making new
partnerships and expanding others that will put shows in cities
and towns all over the north part of Indiana. We'll be
introducing bands to new markets and helping artists like Red
Umbrella, Heath McNease, Adam Cappa, Leo and others meet new
people. Follow our @tbdltd tweets. We'll be announcing a
Lafayette show for early October as well as the day-long line-up
at Blueberry Festival, September 4 in Plymouth - a free show!
Thanks again to people on both sides of the stage, the
microphone and supporters.
May God bless you all!

Adam Cappa gets the crowd involved by singing along

| Heath McNease blows away
the crowd during his freestyle rap including
this Dora the Explorer chair, a tattooed young
man with a Barbie doll (see below, lower left of
picture), cheap sunglasses, iPod playlists and
much more. |

July 31
Well today is the day. The sun is trying
to break through and we're back to set-up. The schedule will
change based on set-up and weather. Follow our
Twitter
feed (you don't have to have a Twitter account to
read the updates.) to monitor activities and updates
from the event. Looking forward to seeing folks come out to
enjoy a great day of music. We'll be taking 'Bags Tourney
sign-ups until 2:45. Tourney starts at 3pm. Best of 3, double
elimination tourney with cash prizes.
July 29
We're in the final few hours of discount
ticket and free parking. Save some money on tickets (e.g. Adult
Ticket: Pre-sale $10, Gate: $15) and parking ($2/car if buying
tickets at gate). So for your first adult ticket, you'll save $7
ordering ahead - $5 on the ticket and $2 for parking.
Not that we don't think the day is worth the
money, just a friendly reminder. See
Ticket page for more details.
July 27
Wow, the hits
keep coming! We
heard some bad news regarding LifeBridge Church today. Last
week, their facility was heavily damaged by flooding. They are
without a worship home now. With everything going on due to this
situation, they aren't going to be able to play Saturday.
Please join me in praying for LifeBridge's staff, leadership and
congregation as they look for a short-term home and work to
rebuild their facility.
We are in the process of revising our performance schedule for
the day. Keep an eye on the
Schedule page for the latest update.
July 26
We had an update to the schedule as we
lost one of our bands. We have also
schedule our (tbd) Showcase bands.
There's just a few days left to take advantage of the pre-sale
discount tickets and packages.
Only a few of our reserved viewing space packages remain.
Remember, all pre-sales include parking - saving even more money
from the day of purchases.
July 14
We posted a question on our blog at (tbd)
about whether we should include a wagon-ride tour of the Sunset
Hill Farm Park. One of our goals of
3in1
Fest is to help the people of our community know
what a great resource we have in our county parks.
Please visit the
blog and let us know what you think.
EEK! - I forgot to put this on our page after I retweeted it
awhile back. Great article from
AroundCrownPoint.com (follow on Twitter -
@AroundCP).
Thanks to the site's founder Allyn Hane for taking time to
learn and write about the festival. It's becoming a go to site
for what's happening in Northwest Indiana or #nwindiana as the
cool crowd says.
July 13
Lots happening as the sands in the
hourglass seem to be moving at breakneck speed.
Lexi Elisha surprised us with her own invitation to y'all to
join us - see it
here
The Porter County Parks will be hosting guided nature walks on
the trails of Sunset Hill during the festival. You'll be able to
walk the newly re-marked trails or, for a small fee, take a
30-minute wagon ride through the park. Either way it will be a
great way to learn about this wonderful resource sitting in all
of our backyards.
We are pleased as punch that Heinold and Feller will be joining
us as a sponsor again this year. Joe and the folks in Valparaiso
and LaCrosse can help you with all things with your auto, lawn
mower, go karts and more.
As Heath McNease says, "I'm too alive to be idle" and festival
is that way too.
If you would like to help with the event as a volunteer,
please email us. We'll need help Friday
afternoon, Saturday morning, during the event and after. Send us
your name, email, phone and when you are available. Most of the
set-up and clean-up is labor intensive, so keep that in mind.
Volunteers will receive a ticket to the event and much
appreciation.
July 11
Holy cow, I'm behind.
We're happy to welcome Pratt's Ice Cream and Kim The Hot Dog
Lady to 3in1 Fest. Between the two, we'll have a great mix of
food to satisfy during the festival.
We've heard from a
Frontline Foundation who will be sharing
information about their wonderful ministry helping young adults
break out of their addiction.
July 5
We celebrate our nations birthday and
enter the final weeks before the festival by announcing popular
Chicago music-scene band,
Urbanites,
is headlining. The foursome that all hooked up in Valpo before
rocking stages in Chicago returns for a hometown show to round
out an incredible roster of 15 bands rocking the two stages at
3in1 Fest. Virtually non-stop music from Noon to 10pm.
$10 pre-sale tickets for adults as well as group packages are on
sale now. Save, Save, Save by purchasing now. Tickets at the
gate are $15 and some group packages are only available
pre-sale.
Get'em while their hot-n-cheap!
June 28
While we wait to hear word about our final
band, we are happy to announce final ticket prices and
packages are up on the
Tickets/Packages page.
We have individual, family, youth group and a group package with
reserved viewing space on the hill. Also, cornhole registration
which includes tickets and tourney entry is on the page.
To go straight to the ticket purchasing page, click the "TADA!"
logo on the right side of the page.
June 25
We have to be getting close to capacity on
our performance roster...don't we?
Today, the praise band from Life Bridge Christian Church
in Valparaiso became possibly our last band. Life Bridge is a
very active congregation in service to our community helping out
at women's centers, homeless shelters and conducting food
drives.
Are we done yet? We should know for sure on Monday. Stay tuned...
June 22
3in1
Fest's
benefactor for 2010
is New Creation Men's Center.
The New Creation Men's Center serves the homeless men of Porter
County by providing shelter, food, case management and other
supportive services they need to make significant, positive life
changes, overcome homelessness and find/keep stable employment
and housing.
In addition to the great news about our charitable partner, we
have several new groups to announce:
Orison from St. Paul's Catholic in Valparaiso
is joining us for the first time. Arbor Knot, a
young, energetic band from New Hope in South Haven.
Gideon's Press, a very popular group from central
Indiana is coming up to kick off the day.
June 18, 2010-
How big is this thing going to be? We may have to add a few more
hours to the day!
Three more bands are committed to
3in1
Fest's
roster. Three Nails Failed, the rockers from
Lake County and Vindicated that includes
members from DeMotte, Hammond and Valparaiso. Into the
Light, one of the founding members of the original
Prayz Dayz Festival, hails from Valparaiso.
They are currently finishing there second CD; their first with
Tate Records. Vindicated joined our the
festival in 2009 and has played several shows with us in the
past. Three Nails Failed has been a part of New Year's Eve and
Haiti Benefit shows.
June 17, 2010-
Spooling up everyday...
We're happy to announce Heath McNease is
joining us as Rock the Hill
emcee and playing a set. Heath is a unique mix of acoustic
soloist and mind-bending rapper. Check our artist page to visit
his website for a sample.
Also joining the line-up is
Once Ascended, the high-energy group from Roselawn that
will get you moving if they have to come off stage to inspire
you.
Lexi Elisha, who is currently traveling with
The Extreme Tour, will be part of
3in1
Fest. Lexi the Portage
High School senior-to-be has added a new band for the tour and
Spoken For, one the bands that played the
original Prayz Dayz Festival in 2007, rejoins us for 2010. The
members represent communities around The Region and present an
upbeat, enjoyable mix of Contemporary Christian music.
June 16, 2010-
We're finalizing the band list as well as our
registration form for the limited number of slots on our (tbd)
Showcase stage. Artists interested in getting feedback from our
panel will play two of their original songs. Panelists will
including representatives from booking agencies, management
companies and recording studios. The panel will award at least
one participant with studio time.
June 10, 2010-
Announcing our first signed bands for
3in1
Fest. We are
pleased that Red Umbrella, Adam Cappa
and Leo
will be joining us
for the day. Cappa opened for Jeremy Camp's show in February in
Valpo. Leo has played several shows in the Chicagoland area the
last few months. Red Umbrella has enjoyed great success in
Canada and played many shows in the area. Red Umbrella has
recently become a popular YouTube download with their
cover of
Justin Beiber's Baby.
More announcements coming in the next few days.
June, 2010-
Like much of the economy, Joyful Noise and our
expansion to
3in1
Fest
have been dramatically impacted by
tightening marketing budgets. In the spring we lost our lead
sponsor. We were determined to move forward with the festival,
albeit "right-sized."
Thanks to our partnership with Quick Artist Agency and Water
into Wine, we will be announcing our line-up of bands this week.
In addition, vendor opportunities and pre-sale ticket packages
will be available beginning June 14. Sponsorship and vendor information will
be posted on the site this week.
Our non-profit benefactor will be announced by mid-June as well.
We look forward to hosting another wonderful event and hope you
plan to join us.
We are excited
to be partnering with Quick Artist Agency, From the Ground Up
Management and Water into Wine. The companies bring a wealth of
experience to
3in1
Fest
which will help us in our artist booking and event planning.

run/walk, expanded family activity area, larger vendors (crafts,
artisans, apparel) and food areas.
